No one can think a blog without any plugin. So, whenever you would like to create a blog, you need some plugins. There are many WordPress plugins in the marketplace and every day some new and probably exciting WordPress plugins are launched to help you create a blog. Here I would like to share a list of WordPress plugins which I use on my blog.


Here is a list of most of the plugins, and their detailed explanation:

SEO By Yoast

This plugin is a free but an essential  Wordpress plugin for every blog as it helps to optimize On page SEO and social SEO of any blog. SEO By Youst plugin goes some more steps to take care of your blog site optimization. For instance, it helps you write better content as it forces you to select a focus keyword when you are on writing articles and ensure you to put the focus keyword where relevant.

Akismet Plugin

A free anti-spam plugin from the official creator of WordPress is Akismet, which fight against spam comments.

The plugin Akismet checks users’ comments on your blog to make sure if they are spam or not and presents you the review of the spam that it identifies at the admin screen of your blog comments area.

One drawback of this plugin is that it skips spam comments or legit comments of the spam folder, though it can be solved by daily checking your spam folder.

WP Forms plugin

The WP Forms plugin is a free plugin helps you to add a contact form on a blog. This plugin allows you to filter the real and spam message. You can build online forms within a minute as it’s an intuitive drag & drop WordPress plugin. It’s also a fast, modern, and easiest form plugin to use.

Last updated

Last updated is a very simple plugin inserts a widget in the sidebar on a blog to show the lately updated post. With the help of this plugin, the users can mark updated posts on the sidebar of a blog as a new spotlight as you update your old posts regularly.

WordPress Related Post Plugin helps you to increase readers’ engagement on your blog posts, inserting relevant posts at the bottom of your content. When you use this plugin on your site, it automatically adds related post on your site and increases more traffic.

A WordPress related post plugin by Zemanta is a notable one supports different styles and thumbnails. It’s a fully customizable for better performance in future.
